Amboseli National Park embodies 5 main wildlife habitats: open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush, swamps and marshlands. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.
Itinerary
Leave Nairobi and drive to Amboseli, Drive via beautiful Athi plains arriving at amboseli national park time for lunch.later on proceed to afternoon game drives ,Amboseli is famous for the large herds of elephant and also with Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa”s highest peak providing a beautiful snow back drop. Dinner and overnight at the Kimana Camp/Amboseli Eco Camp
Proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast proceed for a further game drive or to a camp for a swimming .Lunch at lodge. Then later to afternoon game drive returning to the camp for dinner and over night at Kimana Camp/Amboseli Eco Camp
After breakfast leave Lodge for the last game drive, leave Amboseli National Park for Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi time for lunch have lunch then Drop off .If you wish arrive Nairobi in the evening you can have more game drives check out with packed lunch,drive to Nairobi arrive around 5 to 6 pm then drop off hotel/airport.
